A Brief History
The flag of Spain, known as the "Bandera de España", is a rectangular flag with three horizontal stripes. The top and bottom stripes are red, and the middle stripe is yellow. In the center of the yellow stripe is the coat of arms of Spain.
The current design of the flag was adopted in 1981. However, the flag has a long history, with its origins dating back to the 13th century.
